A motion went unanimously through the Tasmanian parliament on Wednesday 10 September, moved by Clark independent MP Kristie Johnston, that calls on the government to release the expected costs of the proposed stadium at Macquarie Point before it’s approved.
Speaking on ABC Tasmania Mornings, Ms Johnston tells Leon Compton it’s especially important to know the full costs given Tasmania’s “budget crisis”.
“Before you go out and do any kind of major project, whether it’s your bathroom renovation, building the shed, or building a stadium, you need to know what the cost is,” she says.
